WELCOME TO THIS WEEK'S FLOCKNOTE
My dear brothers and sisters,
In today's Gospel passage from John 20:19-31, we witness the disciples locked in fear, yet encountering the risen Christ who brings them peace. Through this encounter, Jesus breathes the Holy Spirit upon them, empowering them to forgive sins and to share the Good News of salvation.
This Gospel reading beautifully intertwines with the theme of Divine Mercy, which we celebrate during this Easter season. Just as Jesus showed mercy to Thomas in his doubt, he extends his mercy to each one of us, inviting us to encounter him with open hearts and minds.
The wounds of Christ, which Thomas touched in his moment of doubt, are symbols of the boundless mercy poured out for us on the cross. It is through these wounds that we find healing, forgiveness, and reconciliation with God.
As we reflect on this Gospel passage, let us remember that Divine Mercy is not just a concept but a living reality, made manifest in the person of Jesus Christ. Through his death and resurrection, he offers us the gift of mercy, inviting us to receive it with faith and to share it generously with others.
May we, like the disciples, encounter the risen Christ in our midst and experience the transforming power of his mercy. May we be agents of mercy and reconciliation in a world longing for healing and peace.May the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you always. Amen.

Sacramental Preparation
First Communion & Reconciliation Candidates:
Classes to be held on the 2nd Sunday of each month, next and final class, Sunday April 14th, starting with the 11am mass, and then class in the Narthex.
First Communion will be held on Sunday May 26 at 1pm, the parish community is welcome to join the sacramental families for this special mass. Please remember to pray for the First Communion candidates and for their families!
Confirmation Candidates:
Classes to be held on the 3rd Sunday of each month, next and final class, Sunday April 21st starting with the 11am mass, and then class in the Narthex.
Confirmation will be held on Saturday June 22nd at 1pm, the parish community is welcome to join the sacramental families for this special mass. Please remember to pray for the Confirmation candidates and for their families!

Our Life Matters Core Group will offer the 9am Mass on the 3rd Wednesday
(April 20th) of each month for the Protection of All Human Life. Mass to be followed by a Rosary in Reverence for Life. Everyone is welcome!
UPCOMING EVENTS:
Holy Face Follow-Up: On Thursday, April 11th, following the noon Mass, we will be hosting a short supplemental gathering to the beautiful presentation two weeks ago, 'Rediscover the Holy Face'. During this time, we will summarize the key elements of the Devotion to the Holy Face, teach and pray the Holy Face Chaplet together, and provide instructions on enrolling in the Confraternity of the Holy Face. This will be a great opportunity for those who were unable to attend the formal presentation, as well as for those who would like to go a little deeper. All are welcome!!! We will meet in the Narthex where light refreshments will be offered.
Fundraiser - World Central Kitchen Organization: Friday, April 12th, at Picnic Perth (1865 Rogers Road, Perth). The WCK sends chef-prepared meals to communities in response to humanitarian, climate, and community crises. Please come out on Friday to support this worthy initiative!
