The Eucharist in the Early Church

Saint John the Evangelist School PTO is hosting the annual Spring Gala on Saturday, April 27, 2024, at 6pm. This event is the school's biggest fundraiser. Our theme this year is Dueling Pianos, and it is sure to be a wonderful evening of dinner, dancing, and fantastic auction items. Please consider joining us for this event.

All parishioners, 18 years and older, are invited to join Council 5561 for a retreat, where we will examine St. Paul’s letter to the Thessalonians, (1 Thes. 5:17), Pray Without Ceasing, which means: never losing contact with God, letting ourselves be constantly touched by Him in the depths of our hearts and, in this way, being penetrated by His light.
What: Spiritual Retreat – Theme is: “Pray Without Ceasing!” Taken from 1 Thessalonians 5:16-17
Where: San Damiano Spiritual Life Center, 125 Old Kitchen Road, White Post, Virginia (approximately 45 minutes from parish)
When: Memorial Day Weekend, Friday, May 24 thru Sunday, May 26, 2024
What are the arrival and departure times: Arrival is by 5:30 pm on Friday and departure is approximately 1:30 pm on Sunday
Who can attend: Any parishioner of St. John’s, 18 years of age or older
Who will conduct the retreat: Father Gene Wehner, O.C.D., Discalced Carmelites, Province of the Immaculate Heart of Mary
What is the cost: $ 470.00 per married couple double occupancy; $ 285.00 per person, single occupancy (Six meals provided)
