NOTES FROM THE PRINCIPAL
Dear Parents,
We are now halfway through our 3rd trimester! This evening, parents of Kindergarten to 8th-grade students will receive their child's progress report via email. Should you have any inquiries or concerns, please feel free to reach out to your child's teacher at your earliest convenience.
My sincere gratitude to everyone who completed our annual parent accreditation survey. Both Fr. James and I read each response and deeply appreciate your open and honest feedback. Your input and suggestions are priceless as we strategize for the upcoming school year and beyond.
Lastly, I warmly invite everyone to join us for our Spring Music Concert on Wednesday, April 10 at 2PM in the MPR. For those unable to attend in person, do not worry as the event will be live-streamed. Mr. Macdonald will send out the link on the day of the concert.

Talent Show
SJB's Got Talent!
The Student Council will present the annual SJB Talent Show on Thursday, April 25 @ 1:30 PM.
Students in Grades K–8 are invited to participate in either of two ways:
- Art Show: Students may create a piece of art and scan it to Mrs. Heffron to be included in a slide show. Art show submissions are due to Mrs. Heffron by Friday, April 19.
- Talent Show: Students may audition for the talent show after school on April 8th and 9th.
Permission slips are available in the front office and must be turned in by Monday, April 8th.
Got Music?
SJB Music Director Dr. Luis Rodriguez has reimagined the tradition of a Spring Music Concert. Parents and families are cordially invited to join us in the MPR this Wednesday, April 10 @ 2pm.
Although not as complex as the Christmas Program, this concert will showcase skills students experience in music class such as singing in foreign languages, playing instruments, and exploring music from other cultures. Jr. high students who play instruments will also be featured. Please join us!

After-School SODA FLOAT Friday, April 12
- Visit the SNACK SHACK during ALL home games! Come cheer on the Bulldog athletes and stop by for hot dogs, lemonade, popcorn, pickles, candy, ice cream, chips, and other goodies!
- Enjoy a SODA FLOAT after school on Friday, April 12 in the courtyard! Choose your favorite soda flavor for an ice cream float. $3 cash.
- Take advantage of the HUGE SNACK SHACK INVENTORY SALE in the courtyard after school on Thursday, May 2. Everything = $1!
All proceeds will help fund the 8th-grade trip/celebration activities and the 8th-grade gift to the school. Your support is most appreciated!
Free Dress Day for
Early Re-Enrollment
Thursday, April 25
Free dress day for early re-enrollment is Thursday, April 25. This "thank-you privilege" is for families who re-enrolled before February 26 and have PAID their re-enrollment fees. Homeroom teachers will be given lists of students who qualify on April 22.
Please remember that your re-enrollment fees are scheduled to be paid on April 1.
If you are not on Auto Pay for Incidentals, you must log in to your FACTS account to initiate a manual payment.

Are you looking for ways to complete your volunteer hours for the upcoming school year? We have a suggestion for you! We're seeking volunteers to be a “Mentor Family” to new families joining St. John Bosco School in the upcoming year. It’s a great way to make new friends for both you and your child(ren) and it significantly benefits the “newbies” coming in to feel welcomed, navigate our campus, become familiar with our programs, and understand SJB student/family expectations.

If you plan to use the Empowerment Scholarship Account (ESA), please check your email regularly to renew your contract or check the ESA website regularly to find out when new applications for the 2024-2025 school year will be available. If you used ESA this year, you do not need to create a new application.
If you have an incoming kindergartener, please contact Kelly McLean to discuss the best options for financial assistance.
**VERY IMPORTANT**
If you have used ESA this year, but have "Recommended Funds" at an STO, you MUST have an application in for the 2023-2024 school year in order to retain your funds for future years!!!
