Kindergarten Registration for September 2024
Dear Families,
Do you have a child eligible for Kindergarten in September that you have not yet registered? We are encouraging our families who have not yet completed
their child’s registration to do so as soon as possible. Please contact Shirley Hogan at St. John Catholic Elementary School, at shirley.hogan@cdsbeo.on.ca to advise us of your child's name.
FOOD BANK
Please consider donating food items to our local Food Bank. There is a bin to receive your donations located in the front entrances of both St. John’s and Sacred Heart Churches. Thank you for your generosity!
Our Life Matters Core Group will offer the 9am Mass on the 3rd Wednesday
(May 15th) of each month for the Protection of All Human Life. Mass to be followed by a Rosary in Reverence for Life. Everyone is welcome!

THIS WEEKEND! Roe Documentary Showing: The historic overturning of Row V Wade in the United States has emboldened the pro-life movement the world over. Life seems to be winning. But could it ever win in a country like Canada, the only democratic country with zero legal protection for the unborn? The documentary “Roe Canada: The True North in a Post Roe World” aims to address that question. Please join us at 2:30pm, Saturday, April 20th, at St. Mary’s Parish Hall in Carleton Place for a screening of this informative documentary. Q and A/Discussion to follow the presentation. Save the Date: Father Tim Shea is celebrating his 50th Anniversary of Ordination … once upon a time he served as a Priest in our parish. You are invited to a special Mass celebrating his 50 years of Priesthood on Sunday, April 28th, 10:30 am at St. Mary’s Cathedral, Kingston.
Fr. Richard Whalen’s 50th Anniversary of Ordination: Once upon a time, Fr. Richard served as a Priest in our parish. You are invited to a Potluck Social to mark the anniversary date on April 28, 2024, in the gymnasium of St. Michael Catholic School (273 Church St., Belleville) directly following the 11 am Mass at St. Michael’s Church (296 Church St., Belleville). All are welcome!

NATIONAL March for LIFE:
To take place on Thursday, May 9th, on Parliament Hill. Come and join thousands of other passionate pro-life people as we stand for the sanctity of life, from conception to natural death. Details of all events can be found on the posters in the Church. Bus service to and from Parliament Hill will be provided by the St. John’s LifeMATTERS Group. A Spring Retreat for the Ladies!: "Journeying with Christ - Living An Extraordinary Daily Life". The Stanleyville CWL is pleased to invite women of all ages to our Spring Retreat. Evalina Filion, a young missionary with Catholic Christian Outreach, will lead us through her own testimony and practices in developing a daily connection with our Lord, for a more fulfilling, happier life.
