Dear Parents-
The end of April is coming quickly, and with it the rush to the end of the school year. There are so many great things to celebrate as we bring things to a close. The next month will go quickly.
May begins with Mary Crowning. It is such a joy to watch our 1st grade students crown Mary to begin the month. This is especially touching for those of us who then go on to watch the seniors at Bethlehem Academy crown Mary during their Mary Ceremony at the end of the month. The book ends of 1st and 12th grade show the continuity of tradition through the Catholic Schools of Faribault. It is truly a beautiful thing!
Our 2nd grade Kindness Bash is coming up. A big thank you to our PTO for hosting these grade level events! It is wonderful to get together with other families and build community. Watch for information attached to this newsletter.
Penny Wars are coming to DMCS! Be watching for information on a fun round of penny wars coming soon for our students. We will be playing this fun game to help meet a matching grant that has been secured from the Catholic Schools Center of Excellence (CSCOE). They have graciously awarded us a $50,000.00 matching grant for our new kitchen equipment. If we can raise $50,000.00, they will match it dollar for dollar-doubling our donations! We will be kicking off this great opportunity with this fun game starting the week of May 6th. Watch for more information!
We look forward to our BA Ag Day on May 9th. Our students will get an introduction to agriculture and planting with the assistance of the FFA students.
Our spring concert, Grandparents’ Day, Art and Book Fair are all on May 15th. The halls are already ringing with beautiful music from around the world as our students prepare for this event. We look forward to welcoming visitors to our building for both the daytime and evening performance. May sure to mark your calendars!
Touch a Truck is May 18th for our youngest learners in Preschool, Kindergarten Readiness, and Kindergarten.
End of the year field trips round out the month with our school pool day scheduled for May 28th. Our last day of school, final school Mass, and 5th grade celebration will be on May 29th. We will be hosting this last event at DMCC. God is Good!
Many Blessings-
Mrs. Ashley
