Keansburg Soup Kitchen - November 21st
We are going to Keansburg next Wednesday. We did not serve the first Wednesday of the month due to a conflict so please visit the
same link to sign up to donate a portion of the meal.
What can YOU contribute to the clients of the the Center for Community Renewal? St. Mark's in Keansburg serves breakfast and lunch every day, a much needed service in the community. Our team goes down the first and third Wednesdays each month and provide lunch. We have very faithful team members who have been providing the lion's share of the meals and we could really use some help from you. Please consider donating a portion of the meal, especially meatloaves, next week.
Happy Thanksgiving!
Hope for Homeless Veterans - collecting through Sunday
Veterans Day is coming quickly, which means it's time for me to once again ask for your generous donations in support of the terrific folks at Community Hope at the VA, who help homeless veterans restart their lives and regain their independence.
What's needed most this time?- Regular (not travel or jumbo) sizes of toiletries -- toothbrushes and toothpaste, mouthwash, deodorants, body wash or soap, lotions, wipes, shampoos and conditioners, shaving items and socks, for both women and men
- Nonperishables -- canned goods, cereal, oatmeal, tuna fish, pasta, and snack items
I will continue collecting through Sunday, November 18, which will give me time to drop our donations off for our veterans by Thanksgiving, a wonderful way to say “thanks” for all they have done for us!
Please look for the bright BLUE bin with the flags attached in the Link! I will be happy to shop for items, so we have a basket in the Narthex for donations, if that's easier for you than shopping. You may also wish to drop a monetary donation in the collection plate or at the office, marked "Community Hope."
Thank you! Emie WilliamsPlease donate your leftover Halloween candy, as well - the vets will love it!
