The Wissahickon Environmental Center will hold its first annual Wild Wissahickon festival from Friday, April 26, through Monday, April 29. This free event celebrates the biodiversity of Wissahickon Valley Park. Locations include the Tree House, Houston Meadow, Valley Green, Carpenter’s Woods, and Andorra Meadow. The festival’s main day will be on Saturday, April 27, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Northwestern Avenue and Forbidden Drive. It will feature activity and information tables and identification stations for birds, reptiles and amphibians, fungi, aquatic life, and insects.
