Have you considered a Memorial as a
Christmas Gift?
We have reached 80% of our goal for our Matching Fund, which will release $145,000 from a generous donor to start our Narthex renovations!
Thank you to all who have contributed through the yellow envelopes and memorials to get us this far.
Memorials start at just $500. Families can join together to memorialize a larger gift, if you wish. Visit ourRenovations pagefor a beautiful slideshow and Memorial booklet, and please consider sponsoring a memorial.
Pennsylvania's Saints
Pennsylvania has some home-grown saints, right in our own backyard. Here are just a few.
Servant of God Fr. Walter Ciszek (d. 1984), from Shenandoah PA, went behind the iron curtain as a clandestine missionary and spent years in the Russian Gulag. He wrote With God in Russia.
Prince Demetrius Gallitzin, (d. 1840) became Fr. Gallitzin, the Apostle of the Alleghenies, and Servant of God. His story of how he went from Russian royalty to American preacher in the Pennsylvania wilderness is fascinating. St. Katharine Drexel (d. 1955), a Philadelphia socialite-turned-nun, endured resistance as she started opening schools for native American and black children.
