Jesus said to his disciples:
"As the Father loves me, so I also love you. Remain in my love.
If you keep my commandments, you will remain in my love,
just as I have kept my Father's commandments
and remain in his love.
"I have told you this so that my joy may be in you
and your joy might be complete.
This is my commandment: love one another as I love you.
No one has greater love than this,
to lay down one's life for one's friends.
You are my friends if you do what I command you.
I no longer call you slaves,
because a slave does not know what his master is doing.
I have called you friends,
because I have told you everything I have heard from my Father.
It was not you who chose me, but I who chose you
and appointed you to go and bear fruit that will remain,
so that whatever you ask the Father in my name he may give you.
This I command you: love one another."
Prayer of the Week
Go now, and bear fruit for God, fruit that will last.
As Christ has loved you, so love one another, and abide always in God is love,
that your joy may be complete.
And may God give you all you ask for in Christ’s name;
May Christ Jesus reveal to you God’s ways and call you his friends;
And may the Holy Spirit confirm the truth within you and make your joy complete.
We go in peace to love and serve the Lord,
in the name of Christ. Amen.
This month, we are raising funds for the annual Catholic Services Appeal (CSA). Your support makes a difference for important ministries in the diocese and beyond. Thanks to generous support of CSA, thousands of families in our parishes, Catholic schools, and ministries are supported each year. Our parish is asked to support the CSA to help provide for these diocesan programs that no single parish could sustain on its own. The CSA effort is a means by which we work together to care for the Church by sharing the gifts God has given to us.
Our parish goal this year is $220,171.00.
Please make a gift today to support this important mission.
