Hello, Everyone!
This class has had fun with Thanksgiving activities.
Children explored with colors.
Corn on the cob was dipped into paint & then rolled on paper.
With the resulting art & a bit of glue, an empty oatmeal container is now a drum!
And yes, there were opportunities to play that drum as we practiced one of our Christmas songs: "Dashing through the snow", thump-thump, "in a one horse open sleigh", thump -thump, "over the hills we go", thump-thump...
Enjoy the beautiful noise a small drum can make in your home.
In preparation for a Thanksgiving feast at preschool, everyone rolled up their sleeves on Monday. We had some baking to do!
With Elisabeth's help, three groups of Children took turns measuring, dumping & stirring ingredients to make...Pumpkin Muffins. ;-))
Our 4th grade reading buddies joined us on Tuesday to eat them with us. The verdict was : "These muffins are good."These preschoolers smiled proudly when they heard the compliment!
Reading buddies also shared a short story of "This First thanksgiving." - There was even time to play a Pumpkin game!
Thank you so much for all the snacks provided these past two weeks.
Thank you for attending parent/Teacher conferences.
Thank you for giving us the opportunity to help your child grow & learn here at St.James!
We want to wish you & your family a great Thanksgiving Celebration!
