Important Dates and information to Be Aware of: No School on Monday, November 26 - Thanksgiving Vacation Thursdays are our library day. Please find any missing library books and return it next week! :) Snacks - Please refer to the snack schedule that was sent home Friday, October 5th. Remember we must have items from list due to severe food allergies. November 27-30 - Scarlett provides our snacks. Please make sure to send your child with a hat, gloves or mittens and a coat each day. Please also be aware: they need snow pants, boots and waterproof gloves if they want to play in the snow. And it sounds like we will get some measurable snow this weekend! Happy fort and snowman building on our no-school Monday!!!
Spelling - Short u words for next week: us, sun, but, fun, bus, run, jump, must Challenge words include: eat, put, give, small, one, take
Science - We will continue graphing the temperature each day and observing plants in our room. We will also begin a new unit on Pebbles, Sand and Silt. Students will be learning about rocks and their characteristics.
Math - We continue learning about subtraction. We also continued working on counting by 2's, 5's and 10's to 50 and beyond.
Social Studies - We are learning about Native Americans and their culture.
We will continue working on reading skills, adding new sight words, learning new reading strategies, and working on addition. We continue to work on community, including qualities that help us be supportive, caring people who take care of one another.
