Dear Small Group and Summer Session Families:
We hope everyone enjoyed their Thanksgiving holiday with good food, loving family, and friends.
The Liturgical Season of ADVENT begins this Sunday!
We return to Small Groups this Sunday and Monday.
Small Groups will be IN Session:
- December 2nd and 3rd,
- December 9th and 10th,
- December 16th and 17th
- December 23rd, and 24th,
- December 30th and 31st
First Penance Candidates will experience Jesus' saving mercy for the first time Monday Evening, December 10th. Families with a First Penance Candidate are asked to arrive directly to church by 5:45 p.m. Siblings of Candidates are welcome to join the family at church at this time. Please let your children's Small Group Leader know in advance if their student will be attending with the family. Once the Candidate and their family have completed the Sacrament of Reconciliation, they are free to leave directly from the church.
Advent Reconciliation will be celebrated by all other Small Groups and Summer Session students and families from Grades 3 thru 6 immediately following the First Penance Candidates. Monday night Small Group students will arrive directly to the Cafeteria to gather with their Groups as usual, and will go over to church following a group Examination of Conscience. Children will return to the school building with their group. **Sunday Small Groups and Summer Session students/families are welcome to go directly over to church at 6:30 p.m.
The Feast of the Immaculate Conception is Saturday, December 8th and is a Holy Day of Obligation. Masses at Saint Monica's are at 8:30 a.m. and 12:00 Noon.
