Listening Session on Abuse in the Church
Monday, December 3rd, 6:30 - 8:00PM
This is an opportunity for you to come, listen, voice your feelings, thoughts and concerns for all that has transpired in the church. It is an opportunity for your voice to be heard. This will be a facilitated discussion. While we continue to grow and thrive at St. Mary Parish we all want the entire church to be healthy and flourishing. When one member of the church is wounded we are all wounded. How can we at St. Mary Parish help to strengthen the entire Body of Christ?
Preparing Houses of Worship
Thursday, November 29th, 6:30 - 7:30PM
The Uxbridge Police Department is sponsoring a community conversation on how to make our houses of worship safer including active shooter safety. Our new Police Chief Marc Montminy will be present. While not a topic we like to think about it is always better to be prepared than not being prepared. All are invited to Valley Chapel, 14 Hunter Road (off Rte 16, Douglas St.) in Uxbridge. We thank Valley Chapel for hosting this event.
Christmas Dinner - Tuesday, December 25th after the 11:00AM Mass
In this season of sharing and caring, parishioners of St. Mary Parish will be hosting the third annual Christmas Day Dinner for anyone who finds themselves alone on this joyous Holy Day. It doesn’t matter what anyone’s circumstances are; come join us as a family of faith. The greatest gift of Christmas is the Christ Child Himself.
He came to serve, to give us new life; and He wants us to give ourselves to others in return. In the spirit of giving, we invite you to consider helping in any way you feel you are able. Whether you donate a meal item, pick up/drop off guests who are unable to drive themselves, set up, serve or clean up--the Spirit of Christmas will shine through you. Most importantly, if you are able to join us for dinner, we’d love to have you! Please contact Diane Smoot at dsmoot99@yahoo.com, 508-278-7732 or 774-282-0390. The dinner will begin at the conclusion of the 11:00am Mass on Christmas Day and will be held in the Parish Center. May God continue to bless you abundantly.
