Here's the collect prayer* from mass today, the First Sunday of Advent:
Grant your faithful, we pray, almighty God,
the resolve to run forth to meet your Christ
with righteous deeds at his coming,
so that, gathered at his right hand,
they may be worthy to possess the heavenly Kingdom.
Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son,
who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God, for ever and ever.
The U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops has many other resources to help us prepare our hearts this Advent. Check out the link below.
* The collect (pronounced with the accent on the có) is the prayer that concludes the Introductory Rite of the Mass – right before the priest sits down before the first reading. Listen for it. It sets the theme for the whole of our liturgical celebration. We can join our hearts to the hearts of all the faithful by bringing this prayer into our private devotions during the week.
