Today we celebrate the Feast of the Immaculate Conception. What exactly is the Immaculate Conception? The Immaculate Conception is the conception of Mary, the Mother of Jesus. When the Angel of God salutes Mary as ‘Full of Grace’, the Church recognizes that Mary was ‘full of Grace’ by the grace of God from the moment of her conception. This means God chose to preserve her from original sin as she was to be the new ‘Ark of the Covenant’, the future dwelling for Jesus. This is what we celebrate today - her Immaculate (‘stainless’) Conception.
Today: Pray a special prayer to Our Lady today (the Rosary, a Marian hymn, or personal prayer). Thank her for saying yes to God and ask her to help you to say yes to our Lord this Advent season.
