Greetings Saint Augustine Family,
Today, we celebrate the Twenty-seventh Sunday in Ordinary Time. In the Scriptures, we travel back in time to when God created humankind. Realizing that Adam, the first human, needed a suitable partner, God created Eve. In the Gospel, Jesus quotes the line that ends the first reading that husband and wife “…shall become one flesh.” While marriage has existed in the natural order from the beginning, Jesus elevates this natural institution into something supernatural: Holy Matrimony. The liturgy allows us to reflect on marriage as a Sacrament, a way of encountering and communicating Christ to others in a way that bears amazing and lasting fruit! As we prepare to offer our worship to Jesus the Bridegroom of the Church, may we allow his Word to be conceived in our hearts until it bears the fruit of a holy life in service to God and our neighbors!
We welcome you to join us for Mass celebrations on Saturday at 4:30 p.m. and Sunday at 8:00 a.m., 10:00 a.m., and 12:30 p.m. The 12:30 p.m. Mass will be live-streamed via our YouTube Channel. Daily Mass is held at 8:15 a.m. in the chapel from Tuesday through Thursday and the church on Friday.
