I wanted to write you to let you know that I really enjoyed meeting with your child(ren) last week during our Confirmation class.
There were no assignments after the class and we don’t meet again until Sunday, January 20, 2019 but I did want to point out a few things in the meantime.
Stewardship hours can be easy to complete if you are paying attention. These are
hours that must be spent volunteering for the parish. Students who serve or read have many hours already completed. But there are many other ways to be involved. For example, the “clean up party” this Sunday, December 16 after the 5:30pm Mass is a great chance to complete service to the parish community. Be aware of Family Mass and the need we have for setting up tables and chairs, set up and clean up for these parish activities. All of these are great ideas for completing stewardship hours.

Attend A Confirmation:
One of the requirements we have for our candidates of Confirmation is to view a Confirmation Mass and reflect on the experience. I always prefer students to attend the Easter Vigil on Saturday, April 20, 2019 but I know that not everyone can do that due to travel schedules. Therefore, a great option is to view the Confirmation Mass for this year’s eight graders which will be Wednesday, January 16 at 6:30pm. In fact, we are still looking for servers for that Mass, so attending and serving could complete two requirements at one time.
Just 5 Days
It is now time for us to make a reservation for Just 5 Days in Appleton Wisconsin from June 24 to June 28, 2019. This 5-day service program will fulfill all of the retreat requirements and stewardship requirements for a confirmation candidate.

There will be permission forms for this experience at a later time. All that is necessary at this time is for interested participants to provide a $50 non-refundable deposit by January 10, 2019.
