Hello families,
Winter break is quickly approaching and it is hard to believe that we are growing closer to the end of 2018. I am so proud of these kindergarteners and how hard they worked in order to get ready for their Christmas concert performance.
We have been learning the following in our different subject areas this week:
Reading- We learned the sight word to and added it to our growing word wall in our classroom! We read books about wheels and what they do in a day! We worked on breaking down the sounds we hear in words!
Math- We are continuing to work on addition and different ways to add up to the numbers 4,5,6 and 7! They enjoy getting to use the cubes to help them solve the problems!
Social Studies- We learned about timelines and why and how people use them! We even got to create a timeline of our lives using the photos that were sent in! The students got to go around and look at each others times lines and see how they have grown over the years.
