Parish-wide Advent Celebration...
This is a reminder for our December Faith Formation Family Session and Parish wide Advent celebration of Saints being held TOMORROW 12/16. We hope to see everyone in Weber Hall at 11:30 for a potluck lunch, followed by a wonderful time of sharing and learning about four special Advent Saints. This session will be a little different from the past three family faith formation sessions:
- First, the entire parish is invited!!
- Second, kids will not be going up to their classrooms - instead, they will remain with their families in Weber Hall for the entire event. So, there will be a box to deposit all of your unit 3 chapter quizzes in. This is how your kids will get attendance credit for November, so be sure to drop those quiz packets in the box.
- Third, as you enter Weber Hall, one person from each registered faith formation family should come and pick up the take-home family packet (if you do not have a child in formation you do not need one). Family names are on the bags, please be sure to only take your family's bag. This bag contains:
- The homework assignment for the next 45 days. We don't meet again until January 27th. There is a one-page family activity sheet (also attached to this email in case you misplace yours). On this sheet, there are suggested activities that your family can do together over the next 45 days. Your family's January homework assignment is to complete as many of these activities as possible. Before our January session, you are to write on the back of the paper your family's 3 favorite activities (and tell us why) that you did together. YOUR CHILDREN DO NOT HAVE A QUIZ PACKET TO COMPLETE IN DECEMBER/JANUARY. We want you to enjoy family time over the holiday. You will be turning in your family activity sheet instead (one per family).
- Four ornaments to cut out and assemble for your tree at home, representing each of the four saints we will be learning about on Sunday. There are no assembly instructions, so make sure you check out the completed examples on the table at the saint stations!
- A special invitation to bowling.
See you tomorrow and
Merry Christmas!!
