Whenever the temperatures dip below freezing, the Cathedral will open its doors to shelter 40 homeless men through their Room in the Inn ministry. THIS Sunday night, the weather is expected to do just that, and organizers have asked for our help.

Religious Education resumes this Sunday, January 10 at 10:30 am.
From the Pastor: I want to take this opportunity to address the situation in the Crypt on Sunday mornings. I need to ask parents to oversee their children more carefully. Not only because we have so many people in a small area but also as a matter of ordinary consideration, children need to be supervised more carefully, especially regarding running. We have also had considerable difficulty maintaining order about the donuts so that we are suspending them until we can work out a less burdensome system for those in charge. Now that religious education is back in session, we need to remind everyone to give priority to the needs of the classes for order and quiet. Parents supervising small children now have a designated space that should be helpful. Finally, the Crypt is left in a messy condition each week. A little effort can go a long way in keeping order -- that goes for the Church as well. Let's foster a sense of responsibility for our parish! -- Fr. John Sims Baker
