This week's to-do list:
- Save the date for the Sock Hop on January 25th..book fair starts then, too!
- Pick up a sock and/or diaper contribution for admission to the Sock Hop
- Print off the Catholic Schools Week lunchroom visitor sign up and send it in!
- Print the Catholic Schools Week agenda and put it on the fridge

Children's Choir
We will be having a children's choir singing at 10:30 AM mass on Sunday, January 27th. This is open to students in grades 3-5. Students do not have to be in Jubilation in order to participate, this is open to all students. Please email aconlon@stmatthewcr.org with student name for those interested in this opportunity.
Rehearsals will be on Friday, January 18th ad Friday, January 25th from 3-4 PM in the music room.
We will be having a children's choir singing at 10:30 AM mass on Sunday, January 27th. This is open to students in grades 3-5. Students do not have to be in Jubilation in order to participate, this is open to all students. Please email aconlon@stmatthewcr.org with student name for those interested in this opportunity.

We will kick-off Catholic Schools Week at the 10:30 AM mass on Sunday, January 27th. We are looking for students and families to fill the following roles:

- Eucharistic Ministers - need 3 more
- Gift Bearers - need 5 students (must be Catholic)
- Altar Servers - need 2 more
- Hospitality - Would like as many as possible (4 to help with offertory)

Catholic Schools Week Lunch Reservation Form
Parents, guardians, grandparents, and special friends are invited to join us for lunch during Catholic Schools Week 2019. Please see the form below for more information. If you'd like to have hot lunch with your student you must submit the reservation form (below) by Tuesday, January 22nd. Reservations will NOT be accepted after this date as the Lunch Program needs an accurate count for ordering for our guests. Lunches The cost for lunch is $4 per guest and must be sent in with your reservation form. If you would like to join your student(s) and bring your own lunch, please remember we do not allow fast food (Subway, McDonalds, etc) in the cafeteria. We look forward to serving you during Catholic Schools Week!

Reading helps students develop a stronger vocabulary, and in addition, students who read for pleasure average higher grades in English, mathematics, science, and history! Mark your calendar to join us for a celebration of reading!

Sock Hop 2019
It's almost time for one of the most exciting St. Matthew School events of the year...our annual St. Matthew Sock Hop! Please save the date and plan to join us on Friday, January 25th from 5 to 7 PM. We will not be charging admission but do ask that each attendee bring at least one new pair of socks to donate to our sock drive. All pairs of socks will be donated to local shelters.
Additionally, we will be having a diaper drive during Catholic Schools Week to support Young Parents Network in memory of Brian Stutzman. You may bring a package of diapers to the sock hop or anytime throughout the week.
See the flyer below for all the details. We are asking families to RSVP so that we know how much food to provide. This is an event for the whole family! Students may not attend without adult supervision.
