For those who have been attending Wednesday Bible Study, it will be a joy to welcome you back. For those who are considering starting, we will be so happy to have you join us.

I've been doing some reflecting over our break. I am looking for ways to continue to offer rich content while better managing the preparation time. I have found a study I'd like us to consider. Here's a link...

• This study is just over two years old.
• The approach focuses on mercy. 
• Its reviews are excellent. 
• It has some video content, but the time is not dominated by video. 
• Approximately 2/3 of the time is devoted to our engagement with the material.
• It has both educational content and life-application emphases.
• I can order the leader materials, including DVDs, at a $50 discount.

• There is a participant study guide which costs $39.95.
• In order to take full advantage of the materials, we would regroup and reboot our study of the Gospel of Luke.
• We will not have the materials to preview until next Wednesday.

St. Benedict Press offers a trial of the leader materials, so I have ordered them for us to review next week. This week we will:

• Open as always with prayer and intercessions
• Review the material from the Catechism of the Catholic Church on how to read sacred scripture
• Discuss the group's feelings about this proposed study
• Eat delicious snacks and drink delicious coffee and tea
• Engage in lecio divina using a passage from the Gospel of Luke
