Hello, Everyone!
A campfire was built. Everyone made themselves comfy and we heard : "Once upon a time, deep in the woods..." - the story of Hansel & Gretel!
It really is amazing how still and how long a 3 year old can sit at times.
There were predictions & comments made throughout the story.
Nobody was scared of the witch! And nobody felt sorry for her when she was shoved into the oven!
We decided it would be great to eat a piece of Gingerbread off of her house!
Our alternative? Decorate a Gingerbread House of your own!
We missed out on Reading Buddies on Tuesday :-( Darn Old Man Winter!
But Thursday brought in Family Reading Buddies! Hurray!
Thank you very much for taking time out of your busy schedules, Michael Vittetoe,
Leila Vittetoe, Kirsten Minino and Jane Janecek! I cannot believe these little people listened to you for 45 minutes! It was great to have you spend a bit'o time with us!
What can you do with Candy canes after Christmas?
Our experiment: Will a Candy Cane dissolve quicker in warm water or in cold Water?
During snack we watched the canes...soon Luke remarked:
"Hey! the water is turning blue!" - (I guess the color goes first.)
Rosemarie noticed: "I think that one is shorter now.", pointing to the candy can in warm water.
At the end of the day Luis pointed to a glass: " Look! It's almost gone."
What will be left of candy canes on Friday?
Next week will be short, too. Activities & stories will still take us back to once upon a time. If you have a fun toy, book or story to tell, bring it in to share!
Thank you so much for snacks provided this week.
Mrs. Mac & I are looking forward to more fun in learning with your child!
