Fellow Parishioners,

This is a survey to assess the level of interest at St. Matthias Catholic Church for a hybrid home school program in English initially and possible adding Spanish in the future.  

A fellow parishioner has expressed a passion to organize and lead a program at our parish.  Before we begin to plan such a program, Fr. Chris wants to be sure that we have a sufficient number of parishioners and their children that are interested.

As background, the desire to homeschool is growing each year.  However, many parents don’t have the confidence to jump in or don’t have the time to.  Hybrid homeschooling alleviates some of these pressures for parents.  This model has your children on campus two days a week participating in a structured school day while receiving guidance, lessons, and making friends with other likeminded children.  Our teachers lesson plan for each week and send home assignments to be completed on home days.  Parents will have to ensure children are doing their work at home, but the lessons will have been covered on campus.  We strive for a 4-day school week.  

Program Mission
By keeping Christ at the center of education and educating through the body of the Catholic Church is the best way to “raise our children up in the way they should go, so they may never depart from it.” Our academic approach will excite God's little ones as they respectfully learn with an appropriate "work-play" balance.
