Friends,
Alpha begins this coming Tuesday, February 12th at 7PM, here at St Mark’s.
Alpha is a space to explore life’s big questions. It’s an opportunity to express what you think, and to hear from other people what their perspectives are. It’s meant to be fun and engaging.
And, we want you to come.
AND, we want you to bring a friend or two.
29 million people, in 169 countries, speaking 112 different languages have tried Alpha. Last year there were 6,500 Alpha’s in the US alone. Perhaps you would be willing to join this movement with us?
There’s dinner, a talk (by video), and a discussion. Mary Urbas and I are cooking dinner on Tuesday night—there will be food, and drink, free babysitting, and live music.
If you bring a friend, my promise to you is that we will do everything we can to make sure that they have a good time. If they decide to come back the following week, that’s wonderful, but I also promise you that we won’t hound them if they don’t.
Below are three videos—two produced right here at St Mark’s featuring people from St Mark’s, and another promo video produced by Alpha.
If you know that you’ll be coming—and if you’re bringing someone—if you could let us know, it would help us as we plan for tables and chairs and food and drink. But, you’re also welcome to just show up.
Regardless, would you please pray for Alpha at St Mark's? For those of us who are helping lead it, and for the people who will be coming.
I hope to see you there!
Fr. Rick
