This is a little long this week, but there is a lot going on. So please take the time to read it all!
I’ve been reflecting and rejoicing over the Missions Convention last week. We had a great time together, and I trust and pray that this special event was significant in each of your lives. We increased in our awareness, our giving, and our commitment to pray. These were the goals of the convention.
Many thanks to those on the Missions Team who put a lot of heart, time, and energy into making this happen: Connie Carrigan (our missions director), Cara (and Shaun) Bair, Ron Guiffe, Mary Westerman, and Jamil Sadiq.
We will continue to offer opportunities to respond to the faith promises for those who were not there Sunday, as well as others who may have wanted more time to pray about how they wanted to participate.
PLEASE NOTE: We now have a large supply of giving envelopes on the table in the back of the sanctuary right next to the double doors. When you prepare your gift for missions, please use the envelopes and designate on them which part is for tithe, which for missions, and for any other giving. (Please note also that the address for the church on those envelopes—a P.O. Box—is no longer valid!)

The Lord has laid it on me to address missions again this week on Sunday morning. It’s a very important topic, one incredibly close to the heart of God.

Our annual business meeting is scheduled for next Sunday, February 24, immediately following the morning service. We plan on a rather short meeting, so there will be no meal.
A proposed budget has already been sent out to members. If you are a member and have not received yours, please let me know. And if you have any issues you would like addressed in the meeting, please contact me directly.

Immediately following the business meeting, there will be a short Seed Week introductory information meeting with Pastor Gary, laying out the opportunity to go to New York this summer to participate with him in ministry on the street. This is a dynamic opportunity, and will change the lives of everyone who participates.

Saturday (tomorrow) is a Work Day at the church from 9-noon. We still need people to help taking down Christmas and putting up spring decorations. Also, we will be redoing the storage closet, cleaning and organizing.
Any help would be appreciated. Contact Connie for questions.

I made a tactical error last week: Paul will be leading next week. I’ll still be on this week.

Youth Group will be meeting at 6:00 on Sunday evening, and the youth are now meeting at The Ridge.

We have now purchased the paint and carpet for the new offices. We have raised the entire amount to pay for it all! Thank you so very much!
If you are interested in painting, please let me know. I would like to get this done this week, if at all possible. Please contact Andy or me if you are interested.
