The only canonized Saint from Wales, is said to have lived to be over 100 years old.
He gathered many men into monasteries and encouraged his monks in the strict practices of the Desert Fathers. They plowed their fields without the use of animals, and ate only bread, water, and vegetables. The monks observed silence except during prayer or in grave emergency.
His last recorded words came from a sermon shortly before his death: "Be joyful, and keep your faith and your creed. Do the little things that you have seen me do and heard about. I will walk the path that our fathers have trod before us."

Are you a 1st-6th grader that enjoys singing? Join the children’s choir and sing at Easter Mass at 9am. Rehearsals are Sundays from 10:05 to 10:55 am on 3/24, 4/7, 4/14. We received many excellent questions at the Organ Town Hall Meetings. Here’s one of them:
Will we be without organ music before the new one is installed?
We hope not. This initiative will be accomplished over a period of five years. The choir organ is scheduled for installation in late 2021. We will not have to remove the gallery organ until mid-2023. At that time the already-installed choir organ will serve as our main organ. As long as the current gallery organ lasts until late 2021, we should have organ music at the Cathedral.
Free tickets for the upcoming concert Lent in Leipzig: Motets by JS Bach and Felix Mendelssohn are now available here (click). This is the inaugural concert of our cathedral’s very own Schola Cantorum, with cathedral Director of Music Daniel Sañez conducting, with Mr. Ryan Tibbetts on continuo organ and Benjamin Wyatt on baroque cello.
