As we begin Lent, we’d like to remind you that we are one of only 18 parishes in Colorado that have a Perpetual Adoration chapel. We'd also like to encourage you to spend some time this Lent before the Lord in the adoration chapel – we can think of no better Lenten commitment to make, and it is a great way to make this Lent be particularly special. The adoration chapel is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, so whenever you are ready, the Lord is ready and waiting.
We would like to talk briefly about two other things about our adoration chapel. The reason we are able to have perpetual adoration is because of our dedicated scheduled and substitute adorers. These are the men and women who commit to a specific hour in order to keep our adoration chapel always open. We would like to expressly thank each of the scheduled and substitute adorers for their service, and for enabling the rest us to be able to drop by to pray whenever our schedule permits or needs require.
We do need your help, however. We ask you to consider becoming a scheduled or substitute adorer, just until Pentecost next year. It’s easy to do, and we have a simple process for finding a sub for those times that you have a conflict. In addition to growing closer with the Lord, it gives you a chance help continue to make perpetual adoration possible and to pray for our parish, church and world.
To sign up, click one of the following:
Scheduled Adorer or
Substitute Adorer. You will find that it will change your life.
The final item. Some of the overnight adoration slots are more difficult to fill. We currently have 8 unfilled slots between midnight and 6 a.m. throughout the week. As a way of both sacrificing and praying this Lent, we are asking you to consider signing up for just one of these slots only one time during Lent, and help give us truly perpetual adoration during Lent. You can access the signup at
Lenten Signup.
Prayer is our most powerful weapon, especially in the world in which we currently live. There is no more effective way unleash its power than through adoration before the Blessed Sacrament. Imagine what two scheduled adorers per hour for all 168 hours of the week could do for our parish, our church and our world.
Thank you and have a blessed Lent.
