Fr. John Sims Baker will celebrate his 25th Anniversary of priesthood on Monday, March 25, the feast of the Annunciation. Fr. Baker was chaplain of University Catholic (formerly Vanderbilt Catholic) from 2006-2016, and the first Diocesan priest in 40 years to have this role. He established the UCat ministry that continues to thrive in "proposing Jesus Christ and forming His disciples on campus." We are forever grateful for his leadership and spiritual fatherhood!

Fr. Michael Fye, UCat Chaplain (2015-present), continues serving the college students at Vanderbilt and Belmont Universities, as well as other area colleges, with great energy and faithfulness. In addition, he has been named pastor of St. Ann parish in Nashville, effective January 1.
He recently said that whenever he doesn't know how to handle a specific situation, he "channels Fr. Baker," who was his childhood pastor and later his "boss" at both University Catholic and St. Mary's Church.

University Catholic is going strong! In January, Fr. Fye and Megan Quinn, director of campus ministry, led 45 UCats on pilgrimage to Washington DC for the March for Life! It was a life-changing trip for all! In early February, UCat hosted Awakening XXIV. The weekend retreat continues to attract big numbers of retreaters and return staffers and, more importantly, big conversions!
