Hello, Everyone!
Weather is a fascinating subject. This group has enjoyed learning about air & gravity, wind, molecules, tiny droplets, rainbows, evaporating, clouds & rain...
A container filled with water, a shaving cream cloud & a few drops of blue food color illustrated how rain "falls" out of the clouds.
Unfortunately there wasn't enough sunshine to "catch a rainbow" We'll have to try again! - Thank you, Mrs. Mac for bringing a glass prism to help make a rainbow happen!
Children made up for the void! You'll notice several rainbows sparkling in the hallway!
You wouldn't think that 3 year olds would even remember some of the big words used this week. But hear this:
We had talked about going outside to play at the end of the day today.
However, Show & Share and Jolisa reading to us took up too much time. :-(
I looked out the window. The wind had picked up quite a bit - leaves were blowing through the air..."Maybe it wouldn't be a good idea to go outside! The wind is blowing pretty hard! It may just lift you up & blow you away - like Mary Poppins with her umbrella." Luke looks at me, smiles & states: " No! That can't happen, Mrs. C. Remember? Gravity holds you down!"
Thank you to all who came to Parent/Teacher Conferences on Tuesday! Illness kept a few families from doing so. Please, let me know when a time for a conference would work for you. I'll be glad to meet with you.
Thank you for all the tasty snacks brought this week!
Next week will be Spring Break! No school until March 25th!
FYI: * There will be an Eye Check on Monday, March 25 @ 8:30a.m.
Be sure to return the filled out consent form to school with your child by tomorrow!
* Thanks to Hills Bank & Trust Baby Chicks will visit our classroom
on Tuesday, March 26! It'll be fun to learn how chicks develop. Who'll be brave enough to hold or touch a chick? What will they look & sound like?
You may want to talk about these things coming up with your child. Several of our little people seem a bit anxious about procedures or critters visiting. Hearing about & talking these things with mom & dad helps! Thank you!
We are looking forward to more fun in learning with your child!
