The Pizza Party was success! The kids had fun making their own pizzas and deciding what ingredients to put on it. We read “Curious George and the Pizza Party”, sang the Pizza Man song and played Pin the Pepperoni on the Pizza! Eating lunch in the classroom was a new experience for us! We passed the food family style like we do at snack and enjoyed talking to each other at the table. I did have one child wonder when we were going to eat lunch. When I explained that this was lunch, he disagreed stating “Lunch is in the lunch room.” Good reasoning young man!
This week we also practiced our bus safety with a bus safety evacuation drill. The children got to sit on the bus and then practice evacuating the bus safely! They all did great!
READ IT AGAIN: This week we read “The Very Sleepy Sloth ” by Andrew Murray. We learned about beginning sounds of words and got to think of words that started with the same sound as our own name! This book is also great at reminding the kids that we are all good at something…even if it is snoozing like the sleepy sloth! I am attaching the Parent Letter for the Very Sleepy Sloth below!
SNACK: Greenlee and family were our snack helpers this week! The kids loved the fresh strawberries and the Colby cheese slices! We have such great eaters in this group! Thank you Greenlee and family for the delicious snacks! Noah will be our snack person when we come from Spring Break.
STAR OF THE WEEK: This week, Harper was our Star of the Week! Harper wants to be the tooth fairy when she grows up. I asked her what the tooth fairy does. She gave me a full job description of being the tooth fairy. She knows her stuff, I bet she’ll get the job! The Star of the Week will be Aden when we come back from Spring Break.
CONFERENCES: Thank you to everyone for attending conferences. It’s great to get to spend some time with you and discuss your child’s growth!

There is a place for you to leave comments also.
CHILD PICK UP—Please remember that if your child’s normal pick up routine is changing that you let myself or the office know. It is our policy that we do not let children go with people that are not authorized without permission from a parent. So, if you send Cousin Susie to pick up your child and Cousin Susie is not on the pick up list that you filled out for us, then we will not let Cousin Susie take your child until we hear from you! Even if your child recognizes Cousin Susie! This is a safety issue for all of us! Please, please, please make sure to let us know if your child’s normal pick up routines will be changing! THANK YOU!
