Life in the Spirit Set-Up / Clean Up Help Needed
Our parish-wide Lenten retreat continues this Tuesday night from 6:30 to 8:30 pm, registration is full, but help is needed for the remaining two evenings for set-up and clean-up. If you’d like to lend a helping hand, please contact Colleen at csteele@stelizabethchurchmd.org. In the meantime, please keep all of those attending Life in the Spirit in your prayers.
Great Start to the 2019 Lenten Food Drive: March 30/31 & April 6/7
Parishes and schools across the Archdiocese of Washington and Catholic Charities are currently partnering for a food drive to benefit families in need, local parish food pantries, and food banks. St. Elizabeth is supporting this 2019 Lenten Food Drive with food collections on both the weekends of March 30/31 and April 6/7 (this includes our regular “first Sunday of the month” collection). The past weekend parishioners generously donated 266 bags of priority grocery items which have already been delivered to the St. Camillus Food Pantry. The priests and Food Pantry Staff at St. Camillus are so very appreciative of your wonderful and faithful support. Volunteers Needed
Each Sunday volunteers take the Eucharist to parishioners who are homebound, and also to Catholic residents of the Hebrew Home for which our parish is sacramentally responsible. A flexible schedule and training are provided. If you are interested in homebound ministry, please contact Carmen Boston (cboston@stelizabethchurchmd.org).
