Ross Farm Giving Gardens

We have a work session this Sat (4/6) at 9:30.  Please wear gloves and bug spray, and bring along newspaper if you have any.  Mark your calendar for Sunday (6/2) immediately after church for refreshments and Summer garden planting and blessing at Ross Farm.
Please save your coffee grinds and ground up egg shells and drop them in the kitchen for use in our compost.  Great source of nutrients and great kid’s project!

Easter Hams

Let's show some love from St. Marks this Easter!  We're collecting hams or monetary donation for the Somerset County Food bank between now and April 14th.  Hams can be left in the kitchen and there is a basket for donations in the Narthex.

Easter Flower Garden

If you have loved ones you would like to remember at Easter, please send their names to the office or drop a list in the collection plate.  Your donation to our Easter altar garden would be much appreciated.

Spring Rummage Sale - April 5th & 6th  

Sale will be Friday, April 5th from 9:00 - 2:00 PM and Saturday, April 6th from 9:00 - 2:00 PM.

Clean Up will be Saturday, April 6th at 2:30 PM.

Father Rick's 10-Year Anniversary Celebration - 4/27

Sunday School 

As a supplement to our Sunday School Digin program during Lent we are using a series of 5 lessons called "Walk in his way" which are based on the parable stories on the works of Jesus.  In addition we are using a  guide to stimulate a discussion each week about what it means to "walk in his way".  Take a look....  You may see some of this sheets making their way home with your children by clicking here.

Easter Eggs candy donations accepted through 4/7

It is that time of year for our youth groups to fill Easter eggs for our annual Easter egg hunt.  We are in need of empty easter eggs (new or clean used) and candy to fill.  Please no peanut containing candy.  Filling eggs will take place on April 7th.    Any questions contact John Lyga (jwlyga@gmail.com).

Get your pre-orders in by APRIL 8, for our ASP spring plant sale.  Beautiful annuals, flowering baskets, veggies and herbs will last all summer until fall.  You’ll be supporting our youth and adults who’ll be making the trip to Appalachia. They’ll be repairing and restoring homes, making them warmer, safer and drier and most importantly, helping the people that live there.
We have some beautiful new choices and stock favorites from our new supplier, Ace Greenhouses in Flemington.

Making Donations to St. Mark's

While we encourage all members to pledge, you do not have to make a pledge to use offering envelopes. Simply contact Doug and he will provide envelopes to you. This will facilitate the correct recording of your donation.
We know that some of our regular attending members put cash in the offering plate week-by-week. Some of you may want your contribution to be anonymous—and we thank you for your generosity. If, however, you would like to be credited for your donation, please indicate on an envelope your name, or contact the recording treasurer,Doug Post, at dougpost140@gmail.com (or  908.766.6621 )and he will see to it that the donation is properly attributed to you. This will then be reflected in the quarterly and annual giving statements that can then be useful come tax time.

Art Studio

Come and join us for painting on a Tuesday, 12pm to 3pm in the large Sunday school classroom.  We work on our own projects and help each other out.  It’s fun, relaxing, and we’re a friendly group.

The sixth annual Freedom House 5K Run & 1 Mile Fun Walk

Saturday, May 11, 2019, at Duke Island Park, Bridgewater, NJ.  Duke Island Park is a certified 5K course with a flat running path along the Raritan River; the one-mile fun walk will share part of the 5K course making for a great leisurely and scenic walk. This event is dog friendly as long as our furry companions are on a leash. With exhibitors, music and prizes it will be a great morning to come out to support a worthy cause and help reduce the stigma associated with the disease of addiction.
With the rising heroin epidemic, this event gives us a chance to promote health and wellness in the community while helping raise awareness and funds to help with Freedom House’s mission of reuniting families torn apart by alcohol and drug addiction.
If you miss the on-line registration option, – no worries – we will be accepting day of registrations beginning at 8:00 AM. Please note that registering the day of will be slightly higher than if you pre-register.   We look forward to seeing everyone there!

Book Presentation at St. Bernard's Church - April 28th

Local historian and author Meryl Carmel will be coming to St. Bernard's Church in Bernardsville on Sunday April 28 at 3pm to share her research into the life of Kate Macy Ladd, including her healthcare advocacy and life at Natirar by giving a presentation of her book: Finding Kate: The Unlikely Journey of 20th Century Healthcare Advocate Kate Macy Ladd.   Kate and her husband Walter Ladd who were the original owners of the Natirar estate also donated many of the stained glass windows at St. Bernard's Church so it is fitting that the presentation takes place here.
The presentation will be an hour long and a reception and book signing will follow.
