We are entering a very special time of the year, traditionally referred to as Holy Week. Lots of special things will be going on in and around The Ridge over the next seven days. Sunday is Palm Sunday. We will be looking at the third cup of the Seder this week. Our text will be 1 Corinthians 11.23-26. We will be sharing communion after taking an intense look at the Last Supper with Jesus and the disciples.
Sunday evening at 5:00 we will be celebrating our Seder together. I’m told that if you still want to come, we can make room. Please contact myself or Brenda Wilder right away if you would like to join us and have not signed up yet.
On Friday, we will combine with other Missionary churches in the area for a shared Good Friday service at Northpoint Community church at 10513 Leo Road. The service begins at 7:00, and our Regional Director Ken Snyder will be sharing the Word with us.
Next week is Resurrection Day, AKA Easter. We have a very special service planned with an Easter Choir and an extended band. God has given me a special word for the day, as we close out our look at the Seder.
Please be in prayer about the service, since this is one of the two times a year that a lot of people show up. And invite people, too! Who is going to say "no" to going to church on Easter?

Our annual read-through-the-Bible began this week. If you did not sign up on Facebook, but are trying to follow along, I posted notes from our reading on the front page of the church’s website. You can view it
here. (It may download instead of opening up.)

Men’s Bible Study and the Youth Group will not meet this week because of the Seder.

We would like to give opportunities for baptisms. The new date is Sunday, May 19 and will take place in the morning service. If you or anyone you know are interested, please let us know! And we may have a brand new believer being baptized in this service!

Discipleship coaching will resume this week on Wednesday evening. Just a reminder that we have moved the start time back to 7:30.

Next Saturday, April 20, we will hold an Easter Egg Hunt at The Ridge! It will begin at 11:00 AM, and there will be two separate areas, one for kids aged 0-5 (how can you be zero??), and one for 6-12 year olds. There will be prizes! Invite all the families you can!

A city-wide prayer and praise meeting is scheduled at the Clyde Theatre for Tuesday evening, May 21, at 7:00. This is very exciting, as there is a prayer movement in Fort Wayne connecting churches and believers from across the city together. There is a monthly morning prayer meeting that I have been attending for about a year. This is the first time they are putting on an evening service. Please plan to attend!
The event is free, but you must get a ticket. I’ll soon have information on how to get yours. But put it on your calendar now!

On a personal note, I would greatly encourage you, if you have not already, go see the movie Unplanned. Every American should see this. I will warn you, it is very, very hard to watch in places. But the difficult parts to watch are a necessary part of this powerful story. Satan works in darkness, and when his plans and works are exposed, he is vulnerable to defeat. This movie shines a lot of light on some of his darkest and most evil work.
