This evening's Gospel "contains a phrase that is the very core of what Jesus did for us: having loved his own who were in the world, he loved them to the end... It is not a coincidence that this assurance of the Lord's love is joined to the institution of both the Holy Eucharist and the Sacrament of Holy Orders: Jesus continues to stoop, to wash us, to serve us, to sanctify us- to love us- through the priesthood and the Eucharist.

Paschal Triduum Schedule
The liturgies of the Triduum are days upon which our shared faith is founded. Treated as one big liturgy, they are referred to as “the pinnacle of the liturgical year.” Please attend these beautiful commemorations of the Institution of the Most Holy Eucharist, the Passion of Our Lord Jesus Christ, and the Resurrection. Plenty of parking will be available during Holy Week. Please join us and be immersed in Beauty.

NOTICE: Holy Week Parking Changes
For Holy Thursday, Good Friday, and Easter Vigil Masses, there will be free on-street parking reserved for Cathedral parishioners, and limited, paid parking available at the Main/Laurel deck. Please obtain a parking permit and directions from an attendant located by the stone pillars at the entrance to Cathedral Place, our one-way street. On Easter Sunday, please use either free on-street parking, or free parking at the deck at 805 W. Grace St, as the Main/Laurel deck will be closed Easter Sunday.
Blessing of the Easter Eggs
Easter Sunday morning before the 9:00 am Mass, bring your dyed Easter eggs in a basket to the right of the altar. Before Mass ends, Monsignor Golden will call anyone who brought Easter eggs to retrieve their basket and have the Eggs blessed. Hand the blessed Eggs out to parishioners on the Cathedral plaza. Be sure to take a Blessed egg or two home, and share a part of it with all your guests at your Easter meal!
Congratulations to those who have been in the RCIA process, preparing, praying and forming their faith and received their Sacraments of Initiation at the Easter Vigil. They enrich our Church by their example of openness to God’s grace and the prompting of the Holy Spirit as they respond to the invitation of Jesus.

Every year, in parishes across the country and throughout the world, Candidates for the sacraments of initiation (Baptism, Eucharist, and Confirmation) prepare to become members of the Catholic Church. Their process of conversion, discernment, preparation, and formation is guided by the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA). Those preparing to enter the Church depend on the support and encouragement of the whole Church, not only to welcome them but to join them in following Christ. RCIA members enrich our Church by their example of openness to God’s grace and the promptings of the Holy Spirit.
Our Cathedral parishioners have shared their faith, prayers, and hospitality. You have been a witness to the Gospel. On behalf of the RCIA Ministry we thank you as you allowed the RCIA members to discover a sense of community.

Reflections: Mystics of the Church
Reflections will meet on Sunday April 28 at 10:00 AM in Monsignor's Office on the 3rd floor of the Parish Office. We will be discussing St. Pope Gregory the Great as we discussed Caryll Houselander in March instead of the scheduled St. Gregory.

The Cathedral of the Sacred Heart Foundation is committed to acquiring new organs to replace the parish’s ailing instrument. New choir and gallery organs will add beauty to worship and enhance our liturgies. In addition, these unique instruments will give our church community broader reach through the arts by providing concerts and educational music programs for youth -- for example: Pipe Organ Encounters, an initiative of the American Guild of Organists, to interest and excite young people about pipe organs and organ music.

This is a wonderful ministry whereby you will meet some of the nicest and most grateful people imaginable. The time commitment is minimal but the reward is everlasting!

Gift Shop Volunteers
We are looking for volunteers to staff the Gift Shop before and after the 9:00am Sunday Mass. We can schedule one Sunday or more as your schedule allows. This would involve arriving between 8:05–8:15am and working until 8:50 before Mass, and working immediately after Mass until volunteers for the 11:00am Mass arrive. This ministry is thriving thanks to its volunteers, so please consider volunteering your time.
