A special prayer for the safety of all our church family as the storms approach tonight throughout the DFW area. High winds, rain, and hail are expected. My prayers for each of you, and the homes you live in, as well as protection for your vehicles.
Keep aware of the weather changes, and act accordingly for your safety.

This past Sabbath I gave a challenge to begin with John 13, on Sabbath, and read a chapter per day, meditating on the last days of Christ's life, ending with John 21 on Easter Sunday, the perfect way to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus. I hope you have done so, but if not, take some time to catch up, and finish out with the rest of us.

This is a special weekend, as millions around the United States, and the world, celebrate the death and resurrection of Christ. It is the centerpiece of our faith, and without this sacrifice on our behalf, there would be no hope. There are some who do not wish to celebrate Easter within the Adventist faith, but I say, "why not?" It is one of the few opportunities within the year we have to connect with people on significant common ground. It is also one of the two weekends in a year in which people who wouldn't normally go to church, will. Let us embrace it, and celebrate Jesus!

Strategic Planning Committee has been diligently working, going through three sessions thus far. It has been rewarding, and challenging, but the Holy Spirit's leading has been quite evident. It is hoped to present the recommendations to the church in business meeting by mid-May for acceptance, approval, and action!
