Hello, Everyone!
We made it through our first Wednesday morning!
Luckily this was a 4 day week only. We could certainly tell that some little ones were a bit on the tired side. (Teachers included.)
It was exciting to wrap up several projects. Because of weather or being sick, some friends hadn't painted a rainbow...or drawn a self portrait...or decorated an egg ...yet!
Well! All projects are now finished! Yeah!
Easter eggs were sent home Wednesday & Thursday! Check backpacks, please! Decorating eggs is a test in patience & gentleness...your child passed! ;-)
We talked about Easter, too. Why do we celebrate Easter?
Children thought about it & guessed: " Because you hide eggs!" - "The Easter bunny comes!" - "Because you go to the park & look for eggs."
Our story, "The Three Trees" (Angela Elwell Hunt), helped us figure out the reason we celebrate Easter: Jesus is alive!
Every child & grown-up rolled up his/her sleeves to bake on Thursday.
Children took turns dumping, scooping, stirring & kneading pretzel dough.
Mrs. Mac, Elisabeth & I had to assist at times & especially with "pretzel formation".
Our goal was to end up with a snack! And all pretzels were edible. Left overs were sent home - you may want to check backpacks!
Next week will have us learning about taking care of Earth!
Please, share some of your clean recyclables. Boxes outside our classroom will hold them until we're ready to learn with them. Thank you!
Thank you for all the snack brought this week!
Mrs. Mac, Elisabeth & I want to wish you & your family a very happy Easter!
See you again on Monday!
