Our God so loved the world that He sent His only Son into the darkest place that a human can go to - into utter despair. Eloi, Eloi, Lama Sabachthani? My God, my God, why have You forsaken me? This is not just some average human crying this; it is God Himself! And that is a beautiful thing, because it means that God sent His Son into even our darkest moments so that even there we cannot escape His redemptive Love!
Today, as ever, Christ's salvific Love enters into our darkest moments and brings healing and peace. His redemptive Love takes even our greatest sins and transforms them, bringing life, healing, and forgiveness. The Love of God is so great that He can take even the great evil of abortion and bring forth His mercy and compassion.
Today, I had the privilege of seeing the roses left in memoriam to the lives lost to abortion. This beautiful ceremony, hosted by Path of Life and with the kind permission of Salvation Army, stands as an act of hope, love, and trust in the face of the darkness of sin and death.
