Mother's Day is a holiday honoring motherhood observed in different ways around the world. It has been an official holiday in the United States since 1914.
While we remember and honor our own Mothers, let us not forget our heavenly Mother, Mary. The entire month of May is devoted to our Blessed Mother. As Catholics, we always strive to be close to Mary. During the month of May, we can present special offerings to her such as pilgrimages, visits to Marian shrines or churches, little sacrifices in her honor and the recitation of the rosary. Mary said, "yes" to God when called. May she help us say "yes" also, as she brings us closer to her son, Jesus Christ. To learn more about Mary please click on the picture above.
