Thanks so much to Anderson's for bringing snacks this week! Next week Grant is on the schedule.
The whole class was so well behaved during the Iowa Assessments, and they all earned several PBIS tickets.
Next week in Math-
We are practicing subtraction and regrouping (borrowing) every morning. It will be very helpful for them to have this down for next year. This past week we have quickly gone over measuring length with inches and feet as well as centimeters and meters. Next week they will practice using different types of graphs.
Reading-
Our story is titled "Half Chicken." This is lesson 24, and I sent the spelling list home Thursday. They won't have a test on this until Friday the 3rd. They are practicing cause and effect, more irregular verbs, and antonyms.
Science-
They built their towers this week with a bag of materials from our science kit, next week they'll build a bridge 45 cm long with the same materials. The towers had to withstand a small wind and also had to be at least 45 cm tall. Let me know if you have any questions. I hope everyone has a great weekend!
