Important Dates: Thursday, May 23 - Library books are returned for the year. Friday, May 31 - Last day to return a Book in a Bag. Field Trip Information -We had a wonderful time visiting so many different locations on the Washington Square. Students marveled at the interesting artwork in Art Domestique, Jolisa Weidner read fun books and gave an interesting tour of the library. We encourage everyone of our first grade students to sign up and participate in the summer reading program at the library! Registration ends May 31st and the program is free and open to everyone! Students ate their lunches in the Patricia room of Cafe Dodici, sampled Italian soda and learned about artwork displayed in the room. We visited the Chamber of Commerce and heard about community events that the chamber sponsors. Our last stop was to Re-Purpose It. Students had fun learning about another local business. We stayed mostly dry - thank goodness for awnings and umbrellas. Book in a Bag - Only 8 more school days of taking home a book in a bag from 1st grade. Finish strong-Thank you so much for making this a priority in your evening. It has made a huge difference in your child's reading progress!!!
Math- Students are focusing on adding and subtracting 2 digit numbers these last weeks of school. We are continuing reading an analog clock by the hour and half hour. Please encourage your child to keep track of the time at your home. Snacks - May 20-24: Abraham is in charge of snacks.
