Dear Church Family,
We have embarked on an our capital campaign for KSCS, and currently have $5,000 raised from our congregation as part of the $25,000 matching challenge from an anonymous donor. We can do this, and I believe God is impressing each one of you to consider how He can work through you to give.
What can you give? I could ask you to give a specific amount, but I would encourage you to pray for the Holy Spirit's promptings as to what God has blessed you with, that you can turn around and share with our school, and ultimately our students. As we move forward with gifts, each $1 given unlocks the $1 matching gift which has already been sent by our anonymous donor. This gives power to each of your gifts, doubling, in affect, what you give, and the impact it will have on our campaign.
How can you give? If you give through Adventist Giving, you will note there is now a special spot to mark a gift to the KSCS Campaign. If you give through the tithe envelope, please mark "KSCS Campaign" on the envelope clearly. You may also give a check directly to the school, but please make sure it is identified for "KSCS Campaign", or it will go to the general fund for the expenses.
We must rise up to the level of excellence our community deserves, and expects, from our school, if they will consider bringing their children to attend. Our students deserve the best also, and we will give it to them on several levels, as you can see. Thank you for praying about what God may ask you to give. Stretch, if He is asking, He can provide. And do this, share with others also, as many have a heart for Adventist Education and may want to give a gift accordingly. We represent the only opportunity for anyone north, and west, of the D/FW Airport to be a part of Adventist Education, and we are going to provide it in excellence, knowing the best is still to come!

PLEASE NOTE: We will NOT have a work bee for KSCS this Sunday, due to so many being out-of-town. We will do so on June 2nd instead. However, if you have availability to come over and help the teachers to remove items from walls, pack boxes, and do other things during the week, please connect with Sandra Goodrich to see when your available help would be most appreciated.

There will be another baptism opportunity on June 1, if you are ready yourself, and would like to be baptized We encourage all who are preparing for baptism, or have been baptized, to be part of the new "Start Here" class, giving a great study on the Word, and learning it deeper. In July we will continue with "Go Further".

Broken record that I am, or a playlist on repeat,
I must encourage EVERY member to do their spiritual gifts assessment, if you haven't done so already. It can be easily accessed online at
www.knowmygifts.me, or by paper copy, with results emailed in to
office@lewisvilleadventistchurch.org. If you do the assessment online, the preferred method, please note you must complete every line on the initial page, and when you begin the assessment itself, complete every question. It is best to block off the 25-30 minutes and complete, rather than saving and trying to access again.
The work of the Ministry Placement Team must begin soon, but we have only received minimal responses for the spiritual gifts assessments. Please make this a priority. God has called each member to be on mission for Him, and we desire to engage every member in the work of the church by matching gifts, skills, and passions with the areas of ministry available. We don't do this to serve ourselves, we do this to serve others, and to be a church welcoming to the community around us. YOU are a valuable part of the mission of Lewisville, please let God use you!

At the past constituency meeting, we elected Carlos Craig to continue leading as President, David Montoyas to begin as Executive Secretary, and Randy Terry to continue on as Treasurer. We had a couple other changes, with Nathan Krause being voted to serve as Ministerial Director, and the continued search for a VP of Education to fill the role vacated by John Hopps. In all, much continuity will be in place, and we move forward in mission as a church, in partnership with the Conference.

Our Strategic Planning Committee is coming into the home stretch of their work, and I must tell you it is exciting to see what God has been doing with this group. The mission, vision, and values that have been recommended to the church-at-large our beautiful, and inspiring. The committee is at work on the actionable part of the plan, and how the church will focus their energies on God's work for the next five years. I am sure of this, the BEST days of Lewisville are coming.
I can see it, feel it, and the energy of what is taking place is palatable.
Do you feel it? Hmmm, do you?????

As we close I reflect on this weekend being Memorial Day. It's more than just sales, cookouts, and the beginning of summer, but is a time to remember all those who have served our country faithfully, from those sacrificing now, to the ones who fought for our independence almost 250 years ago. We have several veterans in our congregation, and we thank you. For all who have served, our heartfelt appreciation.
See you Sabbath!
