St. Matthias Parishioners,
This weekend, May 25-26, is "New Church Weekend" at St. Matthias to provide time to pray for our campaign and hear recent news about plans for our new church.
We are approaching the end of the 3rd year of our campaign redemption period and are on the final push to reach our goal.
Juan Rivas and a number of parishioners will be preparing meals for after the Sunday Masses for your enjoyment. For 8am Mass, breakfast tacos. 10:30 Mass will have Fajitas. The 1pm Mass will have Fried Fish. The proceeds from these food sales will benefit our campaign.
The model church will be in the narthex so you can bag up the coins you've been saving at home in the green church banks and drop them off as you arrive. Your gifts will be presented as part of the Offertory Procession. If you have been saving coins at home, please bag them up with your name and drop them in the model church this weekend.
There will be a second collection for our campaign. You can take this opportunity to offer your pledge gift using the pink campaign envelope or any gift desired.
After each Mass, a speaker will give a short update on the status of our campaign.
Tables will be outside the church and/or in the parish hall with members of the Campaign team available to answer questions you have or to assist you with pledges. We have updated photos of the interior and exterior of the New Church (with some updates still to come) that will be at the tables for you to view.
Please continue to pray for the success of our campaign and ground breaking later this year.
