On this Memorial Day, we pray for those who courageously laid down their lives for the cause of freedom including religious freedom. May the examples of their sacrifice inspire in us the selfless love of Your Son, our Lord Jesus Christ. Bless the families of our fallen troops, and fill their homes and their lives with Your strength and peace. Mass will be celebrated on Memorial Day, Monday, May 27th at 8:00 AM at St. Mary Cemetery. In case of rain, Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary Parish.

The Knights of Columbus have produced a 10-part series on Everyday Heroes that emphasizes sacrifice and heroism. Often in our 21st century America, the word "hero" brings to mind a box office superhero with extraordinary abilities that seems unattainable to us. In this series, the K of C proclaims that true heroes exist and are all around us. There is a wide range of individuals profiled in this series from an 11 year old boy in the aftermath of Puerto Rico's hurricane to a promising football player who gave it all up to care for a dying relative. Everyday Heroes remains very loyal to the teachings of Jesus Christ; showing how we self-sacrifice for one's friends, our love for our neighbor and how we are called to help the least among us in our world. Our Blessing Cup
praying for vocations

Nick and Keri and their family are with Fr. Nick after having received Our Blessing Cup. As a family, they will pray for an increase in vocations this week.

Going Deeper

Our Confirmed teens recently spent an evening making tacos, praying the Gospel with Lectio Divina, eating ice cream and playing mini-golf! A fun time was had by all!

Allison

Allison is a student at OLV. Starting with her 5th birthday she would collect food for the local People First Food Pantry in lieu of birthday presents. This year, through a coordinated effort with the entire OLV school, she collected supplies for the Marie Anne Center after school program affiliated with Our Lady of Providence Parish in Worcester.
This picture shows the children meeting Allison after she dropped off 30 backpacks full of art supplies. They were very happy to see her!! Thank you and God Bless you Allison for truly living out the Gospel message.
