Beyond Commercialism
This I command you: love one another. (John 15:17)
God wants us to love one another with the love that He loves us. It’s the AGAPE kind, the most distinctively Christian form of love which was used by Christ to describe the love among the persons of the Trinity. It is totally selfless and united love. It seeks not one's own advantage but only to benefit or share with another. So, today, let us be mindful that, through our Baptism, we have become members of Christ's body, the Church, and are united to one another as brothers and sisters. It is Love that unites us as one, not the paper-thin or sentimental love of commercial greeting cards, but a love that truly cares about the salvation of each person's soul. Let us show that we are united as brothers and sisters in the Lord by supporting one another and by continuing to lay down our lives in service to God and to each other.
What kind of love is most important to you?
How do I treat others?
O my God, I love you above all things with my whole heart and soul, because you are all good and worthy of all my love. I love my neighbor as myself for the love of you. I forgive all who have injured me and I ask pardon of those whom I have injured. Amen. (Act of Love Prayer)
Hail Mary full of grace…
Peace in Risen Lord,
