A Grateful Farewell to
Mary Pott and Deacon Glenn
All are invited
Thursday, June 27
4:00 - 7:00 p.m.
in the Parish Center
Congratulations to Mary on her retirement
and farewell to Deacon Glenn as he continues his ministry in his new parish assignment.
And the king will say to them in reply, ‘Amen, I say to you, whatever you did for one of these least brothers of mine, you did for me.’
Are you an Extraordinary
Minister of Holy Communion?
Our homebound brothers and sisters need you...
Imagine being ill or elderly and unable to gather in community at the table of our Lord. We include the homebound members of Christ's Body in our sacred communion when we visit them with the Eucharist. Can you help?
For more information or to volunteer, contact Debbie McNulty in the parish office: 303-233-6236.

Faith and Life
Wednesday Nights
at Our Lady of Fatima
We've been blessed by time spent together these last three weeks as we've explored what it means to be SAVED, GATHERED, and FILLED by God. (For links to some of the content we've explored, click below.)
Join us as we reflect on how we are LOVED, FED, and SENT, Wednesdays from 7:00 - 8:30 in the Parish Center.
Note that on Wednesday, June 26, we will not just talk about how God feeds us -- we will experience this mystery of our salvation in the Mass. Father Frank will celebrate the sacred liturgy at 7:00 in the church. We will follow this celebration with a time of reflection in the Parish Center.

In the Word
“I was his delight day by day, playing
before him all the while,
playing on the surface of his earth; and I found
delight in the human race.”
-
Proverbs
8:30-31
I hear Catholic Christians say, not infrequently, that they are comfortable praying to the Father. They can conceive of the incarnate Son. But they feel unsure about the Holy Spirit, if they consider the Spirit at all. Yet, we live in the age of the Holy Spirit, that period of history between Pentecost and the Parousia (a Greek word meaning an arrival or official visit and used to refer to the time when Jesus Christ will come again).
In John 16 Jesus tells us that it is the Spirit who will guide us “to all truth” (v. 13). Jesus also promises that what he hears from the Father he will declare to us by the Holy Spirit. Are we listening? The Father calls Jesus his beloved Son. Do we hear the Spirit declaring that we are beloved sons and daughters? Do we trust that this is the truth about us?
We often think of ourselves according to our sins – what I have done and what I have failed to do. Today’s scripture reminds us that, from the foundation of the earth, God takes delight in us. The Father creates us, sends the Son because of His great love for us (Jn 3:16), and the Spirit plays and delights.
For further reflection: We can be quite serious and solemn in our life of faith, yet we read today that, as God created all things through and with the Spirit, the Spirit played over the surface of the earth. Our Lord Jesus himself declares, “Amen, I say to you, unless you turn and become like children, you will not enter the kingdom of heaven” (Mt 18:3). What might you discover when you consider that creating the heavens and the earth was a kind of play for God? Does play have a place in your life? What might it look like for you to express yourself to God in prayer through play?
