INSTALLATION OF OFFICERS
The newly elected officers for Christ the King council 16700 will take place at the July 24th Membership meeting, family members are welcome. A social hour will start at 6:00 pm, with dinner at 6:30 pm, the installation of Officers should start around 7:00pm.
COUNCIL CAR SHOW
The 2nd annual council car show will be held on August 24th. Registration starts at 7:30am, show runs from 8:00am till 2:00pm.
CLASSIC CAR SHOW
Knights of Columbus Members of council 16700
are being called upon to support this fundraiser. Concessions will be sold by the council and your help is needed to make the entire event a success. Please mark your calendar on August 24th for the car show.
Car show Chairman, Bob Aldrich is expecting a larger attendance this year, so make plans to be there.
JUNE FAMILY OF THE MONTH
The June, Family of the month is Chase and Chelsea Manuel. Chase joined the Catholic Church at the Easter vigil in 2016, and a few months later they were married at the Cathedral in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
Chase is on the welcoming committee, and will become the next Grand Knight of Council 16700, and Chelsea is in the Altar Society.
Outside of Church activities Chase is a Police Officer for the City of Bel Aire, KS and Chelsea works in finance at Textron Aviation.
Thank you Chase and Chelsea for being an example of Catholic marriage.
JUNE KNIGHT OF THE MONTH
The June, Knight of the month is Pat Roach
Pat transferred into the council last year, and has since been an active member, making it to as many meetings as possible. Most recently he has made it a point to schedule himself to donate blood at the council blood drive. Even though health has slowed him down, it's nice that it hasn't stopped him from being an active member in council activities.
