HELPING HANDS
One of the programs the Knights of Columbus are encouraged to participate in is the Helping Hands program. The Christ the King KofC’s contribution to this program has been the cleanup of a disabled Christ the King Parishioners yard. The council will meet at 8:00 am on the South side of Charity Hall and car pool to the residence, members are asked to bring yard rakes, gloves, and wear closed toed shoes. With many hands making the workload light, we should be finished by 11:00 am.
The June 15th storm that broke, and uprooted many trees on the campus of Christ the King interrupted the previous attempt to perform this good work. The planning for the June Helping Hands didn’t go to waste, those who met that morning, assisted with storm damage cleanup instead. The planned meeting for the helping Hands cleanup was timed perfectly with the storm that morning. It’s just another example of God ordering all things to his will, this was no coincidence that the Knights of Columbus members would arrive so quickly after the storm to remove and clear the main parking lot and campus of storm damage. Though it wasn’t in the plan for the Knights of Columbus, it was in God’s plan!
