Our soul waits for the Lord,
He is our help and shield.
For in Him our hearts rejoice;
in His holy name we trust.
May your mercy, Lord, be upon us;
as we put our hope in You.

Here are some saints that we remember this week:
Today is the Feast Day of the Martyrs of Damascus-Eight Franciscan and three Maronite martyrs executed in 1860 in Damascus, Syria when they refused to accept the Muslim faith. Read more here.
Tomorrow, Thursday, is the Memorial of St. Benedict. From the "Rule of St. Benedict": “Let all guests who arrive be received like Christ, for He is going to say, ‘I came as a guest, and you received Me’ (Matt. 25:35).” “In the salutation of all guests, whether arriving or departing, let all humility be shown. Let the head be bowed or the whole body prostrated on the ground in adoration of Christ, who indeed is received in their persons.”
On Friday we remember Saints Louis and Marie-Azélie Martin, the first married couple canonized together; and two martyrs, John Jones and John Wall, two friars who were martyred.
