The retreat will walk participants through one of the Mysteries of the Rosary as a model for understanding how God reaches out to us, awaits our response and fill us with His own life to become missionary disciples.

In the Word
“For the sake of those ten, I will not
destroy it.”
-
Genesis 18:32
Jesus Christ brings the Abrahamic covenant to its ultimate fulfillment. Christ Jesus alone, the seed of Abraham (Gal 3:16), the righteous One, in his passion and death, bears the burden for and intercedes on behalf of the unrighteous, not just of Sodom and Gomorrah, but of all places and all times. “Hence,” as St. Paul says in Rm 8:1, “now there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.”
For further reflection: Jesus continues his mission of intercession with the Father by the Spirit, alive in the church, his Body. How are you being called to participate in this mission? How do you feel about God’s promise to spare the wicked for the sake of the just? Do you see ways in which this promise is being fulfilled today? What do you understand Paul to mean when he says, “there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus?” Ask God to show you how that might apply to you.
